3rd Eye Kissez – the debut EP from Brighton-based artist Ati Boom – combines sultry beats with bared and honest lyrics, as she battles with the passion and experience of star-crossed love. With comparisons to alt-R&B singers like Tinashe and Kehlani, the record is as much an exploration of the rhythms and beats as it is a raw plunge into the haze of sensuality and endorphinous youth.

Solo-produced by Ati while living illegally in a rehearsal studio in Santa Monica, the record is a spiritual shuffle through her brief memories of life in California, from “falling into an exaggerated and exotic love” to coping with moving back to Brighton.

Drawing on classic hip-hop samples as well as classical melodies by Erik Satie, Ati Boom spins a timeless universe of longing and craving through 6 tracks (and a bonus), catapulted by the title track “3rd Eye Kissez”, a candid ode to lust, tackling its desire and the pain of it inevitably being torn apart.

“The whole EP is meant to captivate that memory into a time capsule,”
says Ati Boom.

With collaborations with 140 London legends such as Kromestar, and an extensive performance history supporting acts like Hot 8 Brass band and Mungos Hi-Fi, Ati Boom is a force to be reckoned with.
